We didn't plan on celebrating Dr. Seuss' 100th birthday in such a big way, but we're glad we are. We, The West Allis Players, will be presenting "SUESSICAL THE MUSICAL" later this month and you can't step into the West Allis Central Auditorium without running into Horton, The Cat in the Hat or a random Who or two.

As our group marched in the 4th of July parade held on July 2, we realized a number of things: first, people really loved seeing The Grinch's dog, Max (in his full Christmas regalia;) and second that most people had no idea there was a musical based on the writings of Dr. Seuss.

"SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL" is a combined story of many of Dr. Seuss' most beloved tales. With The Cat in the Hat serving as host, the audience will meet Horton, (who is hearing the Whos,) The Grinch and all the residents of Whoville, (including Cindy Lou Who who is no more than, well, you know,) flamboyant Maysie and determined Gertrude. Keep your eyes open for Thing One and Thing Two!

This show is for audiences of all ages -- life lessons told through wonderful songs and stories. The set is amazing. This production is directed by Bill Kaiser.
