I work very hard and am attending college to obtain my degree in the Human Service field. Writing makes me feel alive and gives me the opportunity to touch those whom I would not be able to otherwise. Keep a sister down....

While working out at the gym today, I found myself looking at other women.  Not only was I looking, yet, I was immediately forming opinions about a variety of things.  One gal, mid 50's, was running around the track.  Her stance was slightly off balanced, hair flying wildly behing her as if to say, "Wrap me in a pony tail asap."  A Zumba teacher, upper arms larger than one would imagine for an instructor.  A lady with curlers throughout her hair on an abdominal machine.  Last but not least, I saw myself, in a mirror, and noticed my invisible-to-other flaws.

Collateral Damage

Veteran's Affairs

At the ripe young age of 18, I had very little idea of what I wanted to do when I grew up.  Holding a couple of jobs, graduating from high school, sleeping until noon and tanning in the summer; my goals were not out of the ordinary.  I attempted a semester at my local college, which led to a Dart Trophy and a 2.0 GPA, I was heading on the road to Nowhereville.

I am diving into the deep end of this ocean.  I am covering something rarely talked about, if ever, unless someone begins to experience fear, degradation, physical signs and overall threats.  The topic of conversation is sexual harassment and where it originates from.

If you step on your gas pedal, you will notice your guages rising.  The RPM, MPH and also the mileage in general.  Slow down and you will see a decrease.
