Laura Madunic of Greenfield earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in December.

Justin Almquist, a 2008 graduate of Greenfield High School, directed "The Laramie Project" at Carroll University in Waukesha in March.

Brian Schneider and Katelyn Winski of Greenfield and Ryan Travers of West Allis made the fall semester dean's list at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design.

Emily Hankins of West Milwaukee earned her bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in January.


Kelly Dodge of New Berlin, a teacher at Lincoln Intermediate School in West Allis, and Melissa Jovasevic of Greenfield, a taecher at Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, have each been named a 2012 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Fellow. Fellowship recipients are chosen for their superior ability to inspire a love of learning in their students, their ability to motivate others, and their leadership and service within and outside the classroom. Each fellow's school will receive a $1,000 grant.
