Greenfield officers called out to assist New Berlin police in pursuit of a vehicle traveling the wrong way on the freeway arrested a drunken driver for traveling the wrong way on West Loomis Road during the early morning hours on April 6.

However, police later found out the wrong-way vehicle they stopped was not the same vehicle the New Berlin police were pursuing.

The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department contacted Greenfield police for assistance in finding a black vehicle that was traveling south in the northbound lanes of Interstate 894 at about midnight April 6. New Berlin police were chasing the vehicle until the pursuit was called off at 12:02 a.m.

While officers were responding to the call, an off-duty police officer reported a dark blue vehicle driving westbound in the eastbound lanes on West Loomis Road.
