Police Report: April 1

April 1, 2014



·An unknown man armed with a black handgun robbed Pizza Hut, 3322 W. Loomis Road, at about 3 p.m. March 28. The suspect, was described as an unshaven white male in his mid-30s with a thin build and acne, was last seen wearing gloves, a gray hat and blue jacket. He fled the store on foot in a northeast direction, and it was unknown if he got into a vehicle. It was unknown how much money was stolen as the official police report was incomplete at the time of this report.


·An 8-hp, 24-inch wide Airens snowblower was stolen from an underground parking garage in the 6400 block of West Layton Avenue sometime between 4:30 p.m. March 22 and 11:30 a.m. March 25. The snowblower was secured with a chain, which was cut by the unknown suspect(s).


·A resident reported his Xbox was stolen from his apartment in the 4800 block of South 69th Street at 8:40 a.m. March 30.

·A dealer license plate was stolen off a vehicle at Rosen Nissan-Kia, 5505 S. 27th St., between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. March 21.

·A man was arrested for shoplifting six cans of baby formula at Walmart, 10600 W. Layton Ave., at about 4:05 p.m. March 24. The subject ran from the store with the merchandise and got into a black conversion van and was last need traveling northbound on South 108th Street. Police later received a tip from Walmart that the suspect's vehicle was parked at Poor Richards, and the suspect was taken into custody.

·Two subjects were arrested for theft after they were seen attempting to steal baking pans at Panera Bread, 7840 W. Layton Ave., at about 1 p.m. March 25. The two subjects fled in an older, dark blue vehicle, and police located them and took them into custody for retail theft, obstructing, and for having two outstanding warrants for theft through the Greenfield and South Milwaukee police departments.

·A male juvenile was arrested for stealing a laptop computer from Greenfield High School, 4800 S. 60th St., at about 2:15 p.m. March 25.

·A 1997 Honda Accord was reported stolen off the lot at Forest Home Auto Center, 5147 W. Forest Home Ave., at about 2:30 p.m. March 25.

·A manager at JoAnn Fabrics, 4950 S. 76th St., reported a subject just fled their store after shoplifting an undisclosed amount of merchandise at about 10:15 a.m. March 26. The suspect was last seen driving northbound on South 74th Street in a red Chevrolet Caprice.

·An employee at TGI Fridays, 4638 S. 76th St., reported a customer's vehicle was broken into at 9:50 p.m. March 26. It was unknown if anything was stolen from the vehicle because the police report was not complete.

·A woman reported her credit card was stolen and used to make a fraudulent purchase at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 1:55 p.m. March 27.

·A resident in the 3700 block of West Layton Avenue reported an unknown subject(s) stole the motor off his boat at 11:35 a.m. March 30.

·A resident in the 5900 block of South Phillips Street reported a bicycle was stolen from her garage at about 7 p.m. March 30. The resident was unsure when the theft occurred.

·Three Greenfield residents reported an unknown subject used their Social Security number to file tax returns between March 24 and March 30.


·A man was arrested for battery and sexual assault in the 3300 block of South 100th Street at 7:15 p.m. March 28.

·A male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery after he struck two people, a male and a female, while visiting a friend's home in the 3900 block of South Prairie Hill Lane at about 7:35 p.m. March 30.


·Two subjects were arrested for possession of marijuana in the 3200 block of South 108th Street after the West Allis Police Department received a report of a driver smoking marijuana while driving southbound on South 108th Street in a silver Hyundai Sonata at 1:15 p.m. March 25.

·Officers responding to a report of a female slumped over in the driver's seat of a vehicle parked in the 4300 block of South 91st Street arrested the woman for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia at about 5:10 p.m. March 26.


·A woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 3700 block of South 53rd Street at 1:55 a.m. March 28. Her preliminary blood alcohol content was unavailable.

·A man was arrested for drunken driving (third offense) after an officer pulled him over a suspicious vehicle in the 5300 block of West Layton Avenue at 3:20 p.m. March 28. His preliminary blood alcohol content was unavailable at the time of the report.

·A man was arrested for drunken driving (second offense) on South 48th Street and West Layton Avenue at about 3 a.m. March 29. His preliminary blood alcohol content was unavailable.


·A subject was transported to Froedtert Hospital with unknown injuries after a two-car accident in the southbound lanes of South 27th Street and West Grange Avenue at about 5:10 p.m. March 26. The hospitalized subject was found to be wanted by the Oak Creek Police Department and a hold was placed on his/her release.


·An unknown subject(s) shot out a bedroom window at a residence in the 6900 block of West Forest Home Avenue at about 10:45 p.m. March 27. The caller told police she saw a metallic gray vehicle similar to a Trailblazer circling her house before the incident occurred.


·The Greenfield Fire Department and police responded to report of a possible pipe bomb left in a vacant apartment in the 3100 block of West Howard Avenue at about 10:05 a.m. March 26. The pipe was found not to be a bomb.


·A man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he lunged at an employee while being escorted out of Applebee's, 5100 S. 76th St., for being intoxicated and disruptive at 7:35 p.m. March 24.

·A male juvenile was arrested after he allegedly sent threatening text messages to a classmate in the 4300 block of South 47th Street at about 5:20 p.m. March 26.

·A 911 caller reported a male subject came out from a unit in his underwear, stated, "I'm dying," and then sunk to the floor in the hallway of an apartment building in the 6100 block of West Stonehedge Drive at 4:40 p.m. March 28. The Greenfield Fire Department responded with police and found the subject was intoxicated, had fallen down and was locked out of his apartment.

·A male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct on South 35th Street and West Loomis Road after an employee at the Milwaukee County Transit Service reported an intoxicated subject was removed from the bus for being disruptive and for implying he had a weapon at 9:55 p.m. March 28.

·Greenfield police responded to two domestic violence calls and assisted with six rescue calls and two fire calls between March 24 and March 30.
