Hearings to include potential Danny's successor
West Allis - Public hearings will be held Dec. 4 in West Allis on requests for special-use permits from two restaurant requests and one from a bar.
The bar request is for an M&M Sports Bar to be located at 1900 S. 60th St., the location of the former Danny's Lounge. The city pursued action to take the Danny's Lounge license, but the owner agreed to give it up. City officials plan to be sure that the M&M owners are not the same people who owned Mario's, a bar that preceded Danny's. Mario's also was the cause of police problems.
Another request for a special-use permit is from Oscar's Frozen Custard, 2362 S. 108th St., which wants to create a drive-thru addition to the existing restaurant.
The third request is to establish a Bari Pizzeria at 5919 W. Burnham St.
The consecutive hearings will start at 7 p.m. at the City Hall, 7525 W. Greenfield Ave. Opinions may be expressed orally or in writing at the hearing.
