Someone has been cutting squares out of the glass in an attempt to cut a hole through the window. The damage apparently occurred sometime between Oct. 5 and Oct. 8.
An aluminum plank used for scaffolding and 33 feet of aluminum gutter scrap were taken from a yard in the 5800 block of South 43rd Street between Oct. 4 and Oct. 6.
An unidentified suspect took a smartphone from a man at Grainger's, 3400 W. Loomis Road, prior to 1:35 a.m. Oct. 8. The victim told police when he called his phone the suspect answered and stated he would return the phone for $500.
An unidentified woman passed a counterfeit $100 bill at Walgreens, 4296 S. 76th St., at 1:55 a.m. Oct. 8. The suspect, described as black, 5 feet 7 inches tall, in her late 20s or early 30s, a heavy midsection and crooked teeth, was last seen leaving in a black or dark-colored minivan.
A woman reported someone took $140 from her in the 3600 block of South 108th Street the evening of Oct. 7.
Two unidentified suspects shoplifted a smartphone at the AT&T store, 4739 S. 76th St., at 7:25 p.m. Oct. 8. The suspects, described as a 6-foot-tall black male with a cornrow hair style and a tattoo on the left side of his neck and a black female with green fingernails and wearing a dark blue pea coat, fled southbound in a white Dodge Neon.
Brass parts were taken off a urinal in the men's bathroom at McDonald's, 4275 S. 27th St., between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 9.
An unidentified black male wearing blue jeans and a tan shirt shoplifted an unidentified amount of merchandise at AutoZone, 5029 S. 27th St., at 3:45 p.m. Oct. 9, and was last seen driving westbound on Edgerton Avenue in a Chevy Impala.
A laptop computer and a cellphone were taken out of a car at Dollar Tree, 6261 S. 27th St., prior to 5:25 p.m. Oct. 9.
A man's wallet was taken while he was at the Southwest YMCA, 11311 W. Howard Ave., prior to 10:45 p.m. Oct. 9.

A 57-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 10.
A woman's purse was taken out of a locked car at the Wisconsin Athletic Club, 5020 S. 110th St., prior to 7 p.m. Oct. 10.
The rear license plate was taken off a vehicle in the 3500 block of South 45th Street between 9 p.m. Oct. 9 and 8 a.m. Oct. 10.
A tablet computer was taken from Whitnall High School, 5000 S. 116th St., Oct. 5 and reported at 10:55 a.m. Oct. 11.
Four unidentified women shoplifted purses at TJ Maxx, 4200 S. 76th St., at 12:10 p.m. Oct. 11. They were seen fleeing in a black Scion driving northbound on South 76th Street. Police have identified one of the suspects.
A 39-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 12:15 p.m. Oct. 12.
An employee's bank card and $40 was taken at Greenfield High School, 4800 S. 60th St., prior to 1:20 p.m. Oct. 12.
An unidentified man shoplifted an unknown amount of merchandise at Factory Card & Party Outlet, 5058 S. 74th St., shortly before 2 p.m. Oct. 12. The suspect, described as a 6-foot-tall white male in his late 40s or early 50s with a brown mustache, brown and gray hair and wearing a large brown winter coat, was last seen driving southbound on South 74th Street in a gray SUV with Illinois plates.
A book bag containing a laptop computer was taken from a locked car in the 4700 block of South 27th Street shortly after 1 p.m. Oct. 13.
A 57-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting a jacket at Tuesday Morning, 4930 S. 74th St., at 4:20 p.m. Oct. 14. The suspect fled, but police arrested her at her home in Milwaukee, where she was taken into custody for having outstanding warrants with the Brown Deer Police Department, Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department, Waukesha Sheriff's Department and the West Allis Police Department.
Tools and a GPS unit were taken from a car in the 10100 block of West Cold Spring Road prior to 5:50 p.m. Oct. 14.
Police are seeking three men who physically assaulted a man at George Webb Restuarant, 4845 W. Forest Home Ave., at 2:10 a.m. Oct. 11. The suspects were described as a 5-foot 9-inch tall, heavy Hispanic male in his late 20s or early 30s with short, dark hair and wearing a Greg Jennings jersey; a 5-foot 10-inch tall slim white male in his 30s wearing a gray shirt; and a 5-foot 7-inch-tall white male in his 20s with short brown hair and wearing a red or maroon shirt.
A 37-year-old Franklin man was arrested for possession of heroin after he was caught shoplifting at Best Buy, 4610 S. 76th St., at 4:50 p.m. Oct. 9.
A 20-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on 48th Street and Forest Home Avenue at 10:15 p.m. Oct. 9.
A 37-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver after he was caught shoplifting at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 7:15 p.m. Oct. 12.
A 47-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after a manager called police to report a disruptive customer at Budget Cinemas, 4475 S. 108th St., at 8 p.m. Oct. 12.
A 26-year-old Muskego man was arrested for drunken driving and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after he was involved in a traffic accident in the 4800 block of West Cold Spring Road shortly before 11 p.m. Oct. 12.
A 22-year-old Greendale man was arrested for drunken driving (second offense) in the 4000 block of South 97th Street at 3:30 a.m. Oct. 9.
A 30-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving and possession of marijuana and cited for operating with prohibited alcohol content and operating a vehicle without a proper tire in the 7400 block of West Layton Avenue at 4 a.m. Oct. 13.
A 29-year-old Wauwatosa woman was transported to a hospital with head and neck injuries after she collided with a vehicle on 74th Street and Layton Avenue at 4:18 p.m. Oct. 1. She was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign.
A 49-year-old Milwaukee woman and her passenger, a 7-year-old Milwaukee girl, were transported to a hospital with unknown injuries after a car traveling eastbound made a left turn in front of their westbound vehicle on Layton Avenue and 92nd Street at 7:50 a.m. Oct. 3. The driver of the turning vehicle, a 28-year-old Milwaukee woman, was also transported to the hospital with injuries. She was cited for failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn.
A 76-year-old Cudahy woman was transported to a hospital with injuries after she collided with a northbound vehicle attempting to make a left turn into the Kmart parking lot in front of her southbound vehicle on 27th Street and Layton Avenue at 2:52 p.m. Oct. 3. The driver of the turning vehicle, a 30-year-old Greenfield man, was cited for failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn and no valid license.
A 23-year-old Milwaukee woman was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries after she collided with a southbound vehicle attempting to make a left turn in front of her while she was driving northbound on 60th Street and Armour Avenue at 3:26 p.m. Oct. 3. The driver of the turning vehicle, a 57-year-old West Allis woman, was cited for failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn and no insurance.
An 11-year-old boy was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries after the vehicle he was riding in collided with a vehicle attempting to make a left turn at the intersection of 60th Street and Cold Spring Road at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14. The driver of the other vehicle, an 18-year-old West Allis woman, was also transported to the hospital with injuries. She was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
A 57-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for criminal damage to property after he damaged a woman's car after she rear-ended him in the intersection of South 76th Street and West Edgerton Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. Oct. 9.
A stop sign sign located off the alley in the 4700 block of West Layton Avenue was damaged with graffiti prior to 10:45 p.m. Oct. 10. The Department of Public Works was notified to replace the sign.
A resident in the 9500 block of West Cold Spring Road reported a political sign in his yard was pulled out and twisted between late evening Oct. 12 and early morning Oct. 13.
A woman called police to report a man driving a silver Volvo propositioned her while she was getting off the freeway at South 60th Street at 1:30 a.m. Oct. 9. Police were unable to locate him.
Two deer carcasses were discovered on the south bike path of Oak Leaf Trail along West Cold Spring Road at 4:50 p.m. Oct. 9. A DNR warden responded to the scene and found the deer were poached elsewhere and their carcasses were deposited on the trail.
Two male juveniles were arrested for disorderly conduct, trespassing and resisting arrest after they had a physical altercation at the main entrance of Greenfield High School, 4800 S. 60th St., at 5 p.m. Oct. 9. The two suspects found inside the school were not GHS students.
Officers responded to Edgewood School, 4711 S. 47th St., after school staff noticed a man smoking and drinking in the bushes just south of the playground at 4:35 p.m. Oct. 11. The suspect, a white male in his early 20s wearing all black, was gone when police arrived but a red blanket was found in the bushes.
A 50-year-old man was arrested for forgery and a 52-year-old woman was cited for receiving stolen property and obstructing police after they allegedly used a counterfeit $20 bill to purchase food at Sonic, 4763 S. 27th St., around 5:30 p.m. Oct. 11.
A jogger discovered burn damage to a bridge on Oak Leaf Trail near South 108th Street at 10:50 am. Oct. 11. An inspection revealed the wooden bridge railing was damaged by fire, but it is unknown when the arson occurred.
