Hale's Schwab makes all-combine team in Chicago

Alex Schwab of West Allis Hale took part in the Chicago Nike Football SPARQ Combine on April 7-8, making the all-combine team.

A total of over 950 players participated in the event, and only 24 were on the all-combine team.

Schwab is 6 feet 2 inches, 195 pounds, and played primarily safety for the Huskies last fall. He collected 47 total tackles, including 15 solos and three for loss, along with two fumbles recovered and two forced fumbles. He also scored a defensive touchdown on an interception.

Combine officials said, "Hard work is paying off for Schwab, who saw an improvement in every test after attending the Atlanta combine earlier this year."

RAP Youth Academy sponsors basketball camp

The Wisconsin RAP Youth Academy will hold a basketball camp for boys and girls in fifth through eighth grades this summer at Beautiful Savior Lutheran School, 1205 S. East Ave., Waukesha.

The camp will be conducted every Monday and Wednesday from June 18 to July 13. It will feature one-hour groups from noon through 4 p.m.
