Whitnall soccer players

receive all-conference honors

The Whitnall boys soccer team, which finished fifth in the Woodland Conference with a 6-5 record this fall, had six players make the all-conference squad.

Seniors Bryan Nagy and Quinn Dombrowski and sophomore Petar Miskov were named to the second team, while senior Rueben Gonzales, junior Brent Sluka and sophomore Bryan Domitrz received honorable mention.

Greenfield's Vanek

makes college all-conference

Michael Vanek, a Greenfield resident, was named to the all-Northern Athletics Conference first team for soccer this season.

Vanek is a senior forward for the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He scored six goals and recorded two assists while starting 19 games for the Raiders. His 12 points placed him 12th in the conference in scoring. He finished his career with 19 goals and eight assists. He also made first-team all-conference in the 2009 season.

Whitnall graduate Graham

gets honor from UW-Eau Claire

Whitnall graduate Sean Graham was named Athlete of the Week for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire earlier this season.

Graham, a sophomore inside linebacker, posted eight tackles with six solos and two assists against UW-Whitewater on Nov. 5. One of his tackles was for a loss.
